The Trump campaign does not consider the Coachella incident to be an attempted murder.

Vem Miller is seen in an undated photo posted to Instagram.

The guy who was detained carrying guns outside of former President Donald Trump’s Coachella Valley event has been freed on bond, and Trump’s team is reportedly indicating that the incident was probably not an attempt on his life.

The 49-year-old Vem Miller was arrested on Saturday for reportedly trying to access the demonstration with phoney press credentials. He was accused by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department of unlawfully possessing a loaded shotgun, a pistol, and a high-capacity magazine.

Later that day, he was freed on $5,000 bond and is due in court on January 2, 2025.

An outspoken Trump supporter, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, said Sunday morning that the event was “probably” the former president’s third assassination attempt.

Miller, who says he has never shot a gun, told Fox News that he was perplexed by the accusations, saying, “I don’t know anything about guns.” I am far from a beginner.

He said that after getting death threats connected to his media job, he bought guns for his own security.

Miller remarked, “I always carry my guns in the back of my truck.” “I was merely attempting to defend myself, particularly in light of the threats.”

Miller, a self-described 30-year media veteran and founder of the America Happens Network, said he identifies as a former Democrat who has shifted to supporting Trump.

“I thought Barack Obama was going to save us from needless wars and censorship, but my views have changed,” he told Fox News. He described himself as “all-in” for Trump since 2018, stating, “This is a man that I deeply admire,” and criticized the Hollywood community for its political homogeneity.

Miller also addressed the various identification documents he possessed, insisting that none were fake.

“None of those are fake,” he asserted, adding that his Armenian heritage requires different names on legal documents for safety reasons. “Using my full Armenian name could put me in danger,” he explained.

No federal charges have been filed,

“We thank law enforcement for securing the rally site and helping ensure the safety of President Trump,” said Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director.
